Riverfront lots & flooding

Atmospheric conditions can cause the Potomac to rise; riverfront lot owners should monitor conditions and official RBM notices.

Property close to the river may be affected when the Potomac rises. Flooding is possible under certain weather conditions.

River Bend Membership Corporation historically notified riverfront lot owners by email when Hancock gauge levels were predicted to reach about 19 ft. Phone notification was offered as a courtesy for owners without email.

Property owners are ultimately responsible for monitoring rising water. Confirm current RBM alert procedures with the office.
